Even though Chiang Mai is an ancient city of 700 years old, full of many remarkable historic places to visit. On the other hand, there is modern Thai culture, nightclubs, pubs, wine bars. There's music, Thai, pop, classical, jazz, hip-hop, something for everybody to enjoy. There must be at least a dozen festivals every year, from flower festivals to food festivals, arts / crafts festivals to religious festivals.
